From October 22 to 24, of this year 2024, in Bogota, Colombia, the third Regional Conectathon was held under the framework of the BPR LACPASS and the Pan American Highway for Digital Health (PH4H), a pioneering event in the Latin American and Caribbean healthcare sector, will take place. This meeting will demonstrate the region's technical capabilities for the timely and secure exchange of clinical information, ensuring that it is available whenever people need it.
The event was attended by national representatives from RACSEL member countries, invited countries, health authorities, information technology and telecommunications experts, international organizations and technical teams, all gathered to foster collaboration and innovation.
The 2024 Connectathon aims to strengthen the construction of the Pan American Highway for Digital Health (PH4H), opening up new opportunities for interoperable regional health.
The 3rd version of the Connectathon considers 2 tracks (summarized in figure below) based on the enablers that are considered essential for the LAC region.
Track 1 - Cross Border Continuity of Care: The objective of this track is for each of the participants to generate their own international patient summary based on the IPS-LAC profile and make available via VHL (Verifiable Health Link) enabling user-mediated data exchange and mobile exchange of Health documents.
Requirements: FHIR standard, Profiles: IPS, MHD, PDQm, SVCM. LACPASS Docker.
Track 2 - Digital vaccination certificates: The objective of this track is that each participant gets to generate, interoperate and validate an immunization certificate, based on the WHO DVC profile. Requirements: FHIR standard, WHO DVC, LACPASS Docker.
The third version of the PH4H/LACPASS Projectaton was oriented exclusively towards Ministries of Health, government agencies or organizations related to Digital Health. For non-LACPASS countries in this section you can access the resources and tools generated for the 3rd PH4H Connectathon.
