RACSEL Annual Assembly

From October 22 to 25 in Bogotá, Colombia, RACSEL member countries participated in the event "Connecting the Americas: Launch of the Pan-American Highway for Digital Health (#PH4H) and Third Regional Connectathon."

The PH4H is an initiative led by the hashtag#IDB Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, #PAHO Pan American Health Organization, and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This initiative aims to provide all people in the region with access to quality healthcare services, regardless of location, by leveraging technology to serve health needs. The government of Japan is its first official donor.

During the event, RACSEL held its annual meeting, featuring a Regional Dialogue with members, invited countries, driving organizations, strategic partners, and others, along with the Annual Assembly attended by representatives from the network's 15 countries.
The Assembly was chaired by Dr. William Hoyos, representing the acting 2024 presidency held by Ing. Daniel Mendez from El Salvador's Secretariat of Innovation 🇸🇻, and was accompanied by the RACSEL Executive Committee.

As a result of the Assembly, Argentina 🇦🇷, represented by its Ministry of Health, joined as a member country. Additionally, new authorities were elected for the next term: Dr. Francisco Alabi, Minister of Health of El Salvador 🇸🇻, was elected as the new president of RACSEL.
